Pilot Programme Stage 1:In Nov and Dec 2000 Circelation's first pilot programme ran for ten days in Sheffield. It consisted of courses covering four areas: Character: Katherine Hunter (Theatre de Complicite) Circus-theatre: Gail Kelly (Legs on the Wall) Choreography: Philip Mckenzie (Man Act) Site specifics: Ron Bunzl (Cloud Chamber) The course attracted 45 circus artists, including eight trainee directors. At the end of the course, feedback from the participants indicated that they would be keen on a subsequent stage which would allow them to continue working with the four directors. In response to artists therefore Pilot stage 2 was developed.
