Paul Floyd Blake works on artistic commissions, as well as with cultural organizations and clients in public and commercial sector. In the last couple of years he has had solo exhibitions at Manchester Art Gallery, Gallery Oldham and Piece Hall, Halifax. In addition he has been part of group exhibitions at the National Portrait Gallery, Foundazione Pitti, Florence, Round Foundry, Leeds and Pavilion Online Gallery. Paul is currently working on several projects, including Young Olympians (working title), developed with assistance from Sportsaid, a charity who fund young athletes aspiring to World Class status, and now in its third year. The project involves a group of young hopefuls, already champions in their teens. Paul is photographing them each year, whilst they are writing creatively about their sport, their lives and the emotional journey they are on. This work documents a unique time in our history, as we prepare for London 2012. It celebrates the spirit and determination of the young people, and captures their development as they grow from childhood to adulthood in the rarefied bubble of elite sport. In addition Paul works with a range of clients, which in the past year have included Arts Council England, The Telegraph Magazine, Wonder Associates and York City Council.
